The eggs do not cause offence, therefore are not weapons.

Hello!

I am also really excited about this development. I just hope that the dwarves will be able to make use of tracks that are a few tiles away or allow tracks to be easily removed since I like to create underground cities with engraved roads.

But just the aesthetic possibilities of tracks running along your main roads.

I am wondering, though, how will z-levels be handled? Will tracks be the first construction that can be combined with a slope?

Yours,

According to the devlog, we will be able to carve tracks in stone floors and stone ramps

I have always been hoping for something of this nature in this game that I obsess over. I cant really express how exciting this is.

Also, how many theme-park mega projects are going to come out of this... Can't wait to see.

Dwarven moment!

My guess would be we need pack animals to haul them...
Can we use Cave Dragons...? GCS?

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

Looks like we might actually have a use for draught animals.

Until we eventually get steam engines... and if that happens there are loads of other mechanical things that could be done... maybe ToadyOne will make mining properly dangerous too

Still, we must do ‼Science‼ to determine the effects of being hit by a speeding minecart

Flinging children halfway across the map to land in magma is good, wholesome fun, but extramarital reproduction?  Why, that's just unseemly!

They haven't found a way to weaponize chicken eggs yet... Thankfully.
They've tried, but the way eggs were coded didn't let them have their cake. Specifically, explosive eggs were the dream but they were unattainable. As a byproduct, chickens laying bees occurred (as well as iron chairs), but as that isn't actually about eggs, it doesn't qualify.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.

"Urist has enjoyed/really enjoyed a mine ride lately"
"Urist has been disturbed/nauseated by a violent mine ride lately"

=> inb4 people building rollercoasters to make their dwarves happy, and more vomit, and DF absorbs the Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 fanbase.

If Toady implements points & allows pressure plates to be triggered by passing mine carts, this could lead to great improvements in dorfen ‼logic‼

If only Fortress mode allowed soldiers to use the Throwing skill...

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

It's a good thing I already mostly use ramps in my forts.

Now the real question is, will we have minecart drawbridges?
