So here's what I did...

- Grabbed Dwarf Builder 12 and yesterday's Jolly Bastion update.
- Replaced jolly_square and jolly_tall in Dwarf Builder with the newer Jolly Bastion.
- Built the app.
- Copied the save folder from my Dwarf Builder 11 app (which was a carryover from DF 0.34.07, but loaded fine in 0.34.08).
- Ran the app

When trying to load, a white box appears in the middle of the screen and the app dies.  Have I done something wrong or is this just "hey idiot, your save isn't compatible"?

DB should have yesterday's JB update (it's to v5). Regardless of that, there was someone else who mentioned the app just dying, so it may just be a compatibility issue between 07/08 and 09. If you build the app and don't transfer your saves, does it start up fine?

Is there any chance we'll have an option to bake Masterwork into DF?

Yes, If my pounding headache ever goes away. Keep an eye out for the next release of Masterwork for Mac.

If you start the App up and you just see a white box, click the title bar and move the window. The white will go away and you will see the game working properly. You have to do this every time you start dwarf fortress. Not sure what causes the bug but it's good to hear I'm not the only one seeing it. Also keep truetype and fullscreen off, in my experience these cause the app to die.

I should have been a bit more clear.  The app loads fine, but when I try to load my save I see the white box.  It doesn't cover the entire window (but it does stay on top of everything else running until I Force Quit DF-- it's on top of my web browser window right now).

EDIT: Since you said you already had v5 of Jolly Bastion, I decided to start over.  Tossed my whole DB folder, reinstalled it, re-built the app, copied my save in-- and it works fine.

Updated to v13 to use DF v0.34.10. No feature updates as I've been busy playing Diablo 3. Maybe not any feature updates for a while but I'll try to keep this updated as Toady releases new versions.

I think you should update your download link to https://github.com/downloads/plaidman/dwarf-builder/DwarfBuilder.03410v13.zip because I can't access github by link provided in the head of the topic, only by mentioned one.

I just want to say your work is deeply appreciated, and thanks for keeping up with new releases. That's all we can ask really. So good not to have to manually install graphics and then run from Terminal. And Dwarf The Rapist! This is the first time I've ever used it. I'm used to managing the little buggers directly, but it never hurts to try something new.

As a Mac-using DF player, life hasn't always been easy, and the bigger kids in the playground can be plenty cruel. (It is a proper computer dammit! Ahem...)

this may sound really stupid.... but how do I quit dwarf fortress?

before I would just apple Q out of terminal, but dwarf builder doesn't use that...

EDIT: wow, I never even noticed the QUIT button on the main screen. how embarrassing... anyways, this is a really great tool, thank you so much for this!

Sorry this is about a week late. I got tired of DwarfEngineer to update DT memory offsets, so I did it myself. I tested it a bit, and everything seemed to work fine but no guarantees that it won't crash your system. Also Mr Mayday is being slow to update so his tileset is still in a previous version. Enjoy!

Cheers for the update plaidman, I was busy enjoying the .10 version built with your fine app but I'm done with that fortress now (a strangely industrious one). Onto .11!
