Introduction:

As you may or may not know, the 1st Screw the Next Player Over! campaign reached it's epic conclusion a few months ago with the irreversible magma flooding of the fortress.  Now it's time to begin the madness anew.  I have devised several fields for us to vote on.  If I have forgotten any fields or any possible choices please let me know so I may add them.

Instructions:

Here is how voting will be done.  You will copy and post the below list into your post and place scores next to each choice.  From 1 all the way up to the number of choices.  Voting will go on for AT LEAST 1 week (longer depending on how things go).  When voting concludes I will tally up all the scores and the choice with the highest score will be the winner.  For the fields where having multiple winner is viable (such as Biome) I will try to find a region with multiple winners represented.  When a suitable location has been found I will post a 2nd voting topic for people to either approve or disapprove of the selected region, as well as to sign up for individual turns, as well as claim the initial 7.

NOTE:  Since this is on the point scale, the choice you like the LEAST should be given the value 1.  The MORE POINTS the BETTER.  For instance, if your top choice in biome is Jungle, you would assign the value 6.

Fields of Voting:

This is the first organized voting topic I have ever created.  Please let me know how I did and what should be changed.

NOTE: Should you at some point change your mind about the scores you have assigned please MODIFY your original post.  I don't want double posts floating around.  It'll just end up making things confusing.

ive gotten in the habit of replacing my chief medical dwarf as soon as he gains any notable skill in diagnosis.
It's really funny watching them do unnecessary surgery because of a wrong diagnosis.
the conditions were bad enough to turn a dwarf who didn't care about anything mad, that's pretty hardcore.

i think i understand how you want this to be done, so here's my ballot.

Version:

 4- The Most Current Version
3- The Same World As Last Time
2- The Same Version As Last Time but Different World
1- An Older Version, Specifically *insert version here*

Embark - Biome

 5- Desert
 3- Mountain
 6- Jungle
 4- Swamp
 2- Plains
 1- Glacier

Embark - Threat Level

 2- Joyous Plains
 3- Wilderness
 4- Untamed Wilds
 6- Haunted
 5- Sinister
 1- Terrifying

Embark - Specifics

i'll be using 1,0,-1 for this part. 1 = Yes, 0 = Indifferent, -1 = No. it makes a bit more sense than trying to rank the features we want. also removed the redundant aquifer choice.

1  - River
0  - Aquifer
1  - High Vegetation
-1 - Low Vegetation
1  - Volcano
-1 - Ocean
0  - Lake
0  - Freezing
0  - Hot

Special Rules: *Please suggest more*

 2- Mandatory mega-constructions
3- A special form of killing random dwarves
4- Special challanges - possibly a "mountainhome mandate" type thing.
 1- No special rules

Yeah.  Thus why I didn't make a trap.  In it's current state the fortress didn't need a trap, the whole damn fortress is a trap.

Ok good.  I was worried I made things too confusing.  I couldn't think of a better way to make sure people's opinions are accurately represented than this point system.  Also I like the idea of using -1 0 and 1 for the specifics I'll update the OP to reflect it.

REVISED
Version:

 4 The Most Current Version
3 The Same World As Last Time
2 The Same Version As Last Time but Different World
1 An Older Version, Specifically .23a

Embark - Biome

 3 Desert
 2 Mountain
 5 Jungle
 6 Swamp
 1 Plains
 4 Glacier

Embark - Savagery

 1 Calm
 2 Neutral
 3 Savage

Embark - Good/Evil

 3 Good
 1 Neutral
 2 Evil

Embark - Specifics

For this section, score the choices as (-1) (dislike), (0) (indifferent), or (1) (like).

 -1 River
 1 Aquifer
 -1 No Aquifer
 1 High Vegetation
 -1 Low Vegetation
 -1 Volcano
 1 Ocean
 -1 Lake
 1 Freezing
 1 Hot

Special Rules:
Mandatory mega-constructions NO PREFERENCE

A special form of killing random dwarves - NO PREFERENCE
There is going to be plenty of killing

Special challenges - YES
My suggestion is that everybody get an "avatar" like in the last game. You dig and decorate your own 11x11 tomb. You can seal yourself up in your own tomb with food and water at the end of your turn if you so desire. No plundering former leaders' tombs (anything else is fair game, of course). You pick the assigned labors on your avatar during your turn and no subsequent player can give you any other assigned labors. The avatar does not have to a military dwarf but should preferably be assigned a ludicrous and flamboyant uniform.

Mountain Home Mandate - NO PREFERENCE

Actually 1 would be the choice you LEAST like.  It's on a point scale so more points = better.  I'll update the OP to reflect that and make this more clear.

i predict that regardless of peoples' intentions the sum total of the votes will force us to embark in an area with no flux, no trees, no aquifer, magma 150 z-levels down, and zombie ravens.
