Cave Lakes!
« on: May 25, 2008, 08:25:00 pm »

As some of you may (Or may not) know, extended fishing in a natural or in an aritfical pond will lead a message along the lines of "You fished all the damn fish out of your fishing hole!". Will such a message appear from extended periods of fishing in a Lake or Cave Lake, however?

Whoops, I read the question wrong. Move along, nothing to see here.

(I would guess the answer is 'yes', btw)

To clarify, I'd say that any body of water that isn't constantly replenished (as rivers/brooks are) would eventually run out of resources. But that's just following logic, and we all know DF doesn't follow any rules. Not even its own.

I once shot a bear in the eye with a bow on the first shot, cut it up, found another one, and shot it in the eye too. The collective pile of meat weighed more than my house.

I would assume so. But given the much larger size of the water bodies, it would take much longer to fish out, I'd guess (and would probably re-fill before you got even close to that mark). But I don't know how vermin spawning works.

As well, all the posts i've seen you make are flame posts, barely if at all constructive.
