large creature caging

Is the dungeon master the only dwarf allowed to do large creature caging? i ask because he seems to be the only one that ever moves goblins around, and so it can take awhile to clean up after a seige.

Are you asking about hauling creatures to cages, or hauling caged creatures?

Because I've had plenty of other dwarves cage things like dogs or horses, etc., as "Large creature caging".  Maybe it's because the creatures are hostile...?

Anyone with "animal hauling" (on by default) will haul goblins or horses.  What are you doing with the goblins?

i mean moving goblins from the cage traps to the cages inside my fort. I havent noticed anything moving them from cage to cage once inside the fort, however. (i have only done this maybe 6 times.) ill keep a close eye on them inside the fort now, and see whats up. i have about a dozen scheduled to be killed, so it shouldnt take long.

I would suggest you move cages, rather than moving goblins.

Deconstruct the cage and put it into a stockpile
