Now you will know why you fear the night.

DrunkenCaveOgre:
I remember I read about on dwarf who was attacked by a dragon at age 15. He lost his eye but was able to escape. 5 years later he got married. That same year he got both legs mangled by a hydra rendering him unable to walk. Then 3 years later he was kidnapped by a werewolf and infected.

The last thing it said was that he was reunited with his wife and mother

What's the point of living if he lost his eye, and both of his legs?

you see, he got kidnapped and werecursed by a werecritter, it probably healed in the next full moon.
now I wonder why it doesn't happen in legends mode that a beloved character that is infected by a werecurse is not taken care of (not the kill way, but the "lets lock him on this platinum room every full moon" way).

The W axis:
I have been reading about a 14-year war between a human and goblin civ in my current world during the course of which over 150 battles were fought. The human army was led from victory to victory by Ñithpa Flasharmors. In the first battle, in the midwinter of 126, his 1900 men butchered the entire goblin and troll army of 450 leaving no survivors. Skirmish by skirmish the goblin forces shrank until by the winter of 128 the human army was attacking and pillaging empty fortresses. The valiant human forces amassed reinforcements; their last recorded casualties were suffered in the Scorching Clash of 136, when six men out of 2540 were lost against a force of four goblins, a dwarf and a troll. The goblin civilization was moribund.

Then came the fateful new year of 140. Ñithpa's battle-hardened troops had emerged from The Twentieth Pillaging of (long-deserted) Tormentlice and set their sights on the fortress of Ancienthorror, which they had ransacked for the fourteenth time two years earlier: scouts had reported that a revitalized force of two goblins had been stationed there. Ñithpa's army of 2590 humans, strengthened by over seventy dwarves and a crack force of 17 goblin turncoats, launched their surprise offensive and easily disposed of the other goblin. The remaining goblin, whose name was Stozu Dungeonrubbed, killed almost two thousand of the human army and forced the human civilization to a peace treaty.

Ñithpa Flasharmors, general of his nation's army for 98 years, died later that year of old age. Should've taken that retirement plan, spent some time with his grandkids instead...
