Patrols Not Following Route

I took the time to make an extensive patrol system for my city watch but they only ever seem to travel between the first two points and no where else, or end up getting locked in a 2 point loop somewhere further down the line on the bigger patrol routes.

Is this just typical dorf AI or did I fuck up?

Well, I've never had this problem. I'd suggest you redo the routes and simplify where possible. Maybe it'll fix itself, but that also gives you the opportunity to review it and make sure you didn't misplace a finger. Because that erks us all.

What does the route look like from it's designation menu at the moment, though? Transcribe it so we can see.
Adn what exactly does the squads' orders say? Again, write it up for us.
