Very new modder here. I'm trying to add a hydra-like humanoid creature, which required me to create new body detail plans to accommodate. I did this by editing the 7HEADS token used by hydras to support less heads (3HEADS and 5HEADS) and I edited the HUMANOID_LEGLESS token to remove the head and neck, which would be provided by the 7/3/5HEADS token anyway. I didnt change any of the raws contained within in any other way. However, the creature I've made crashes the game upon viewing the description in the test arena. This is the error log i get:

Do I also need to remove the [POPULATION_NUMBER] and [CLUSTER_NUMBER] tags from each animal man individually?

Will the flying animal people be problematic?

What about the aquatic ones (I'm guessing I should skip them)?

Can anyone see a reason why these civs would not send thieves/ambushes/sieges?

Perhaps giving them [UTTERANCES] rather than [CAN_SPEAK] would make more sense?

Actually if you make them a part of an entity you don't need to worry about the animal population tags, can just forget those they are only for 'WILD' spawning entities override that and force place them in civs. Unless you want non added animalmen not to show up at all (aka no wild animal men just the ones that make civs) then that works

And for more completeness you can make entities comprised of animal men of the biomes if that makes sense, so temperate animal men will spawn towns in temperate biomes

So I'm trying to modify the attribute caps of my dwarves but whenever I look in Dwarf Therapist after applying the changes by adding the PHYS_ATT_CAP_PERC lines to the dwarf section of the creature_standard.txt, the maximum attribute values stay unchanged. Is this maybe an issue with Dwarf Therapist, or does adding the PHYS_ATT_CAP_PERC line to the raw not work the same way anymore?

Welp, looks like I'm going to have to sacrifice all my 1600 strength capped military dwarves to Armok then, unless there's an easier way to get rid of the fact that most of my military dwarves have become attached to most of my steel equipment. Although when I changed the RANGE values there was an immediate change. I changed the strength ranges to [PHYS_ATT_RANGE:STRENGTH:1250:1500:1750:2000:2500:3000:5000]  and it immediately made all my dwarves display as very weak, or at least just made them all much weaker while the numbers displayed remained the same.

since they capped at 1600, you made the max 5000 and the weakest 1250. So the game looks at them and says "they are very weak for a dwarf" even tho they are very strong for a kobold [/joke]

I also noticed that a lot of tags were missing from the raw, is that just because the ones present within the raw file are just meant to differentiate between the races for those specific attributes?
