You quickly rub the foul liquid into the dirt, and return fire!
One of the ants is struck in the left eye, which bursts into a ragged, jelly-filled hole! You fellow infantry concentrate fire on your target, quickly killing it!

The beetles expose their wings, and take to the air! Jake and Henry fire at them with their pistols, but the small ammunition bounces off heavy armor.
The remaining ant readies to hawk another missile, but it's head disintegrates as a shot from Roe's Cube Weapon finds its mark.

Seeing the excellent firepower your commander posseses, you are reminded of a quote from your Training Manual;

The Keystone Army defines an Objecticube as any naturally-occuring or artificial cube-shaped object which allows the storage of an object within a space smaller than itself.

An Objecticube may also be used at alter stored objects in several ways, notably able to transform nearly any object into a weapon, piece of armor, or living creature. This process was perfected centuries ago by the Keystone Army, though inferior nations have corrupted it and even now use it against us.

As a Soldier of the Keystone Army, your duty is to protect our great civilization by...

A lunge from one of the remaining insects jolts you out of the memory (no loss, as the next several paragraphs were mostly propaganda), striking you in the lower body and knocking you down!

Shoot the beetle what hit us, taking advantage of the close distance to aim for its eyes!  Then stand up.

I read the title as Objection. Thanks, now I have Phoenix Wright shouting in my head.

Stand up. Be a true Nord and bash that milk-drinking beetle's head with your fists! (after shooting it)

You loose a stuttering line of fire at the gigantic insect as you climb to your feet, tearing apart one of its wings and forcing it down!
As the creature attemps to right itself, you give it a savage kick! It is sent tumbling back down to the bottom of the gorge where it rests, leaking green ichor.

The twins and Jake fell one of the remaining beetles, while Roe takes care of the other, again with a single shot.
There are no remaining hostiles that you can see.

"Injuries?", Roe asks.
You and the others affirm your good health, though Henry looks a bit sick.
"Right, we should continue moving. We may not have encountered any heavy resistance, but I have a feeling we're on the right track."
