285. Dual-wielding can, in fact, be fucking awesome. If you do it right.
Tell us. Now
Okay. I was a human outsider. Came upon a bandit camp, only about six of them. All melee. Easy, I thought.
So I uncloaked near one lone guy far from the others, and shanked him in the foot. He passes out almost immediately. I kill him. The next in line is axeman and then after him a swordsman. I kill them both the usual way (foot/arm, then head/throat) and the next to last dude is a lasher. Again, easy kill.
The commander of the place, yet another lasher, is about ten steps from me. I pick up the axeman's silver halberd (shitty silver, I thought at the time -.-) and the commander gets in range of me. I stab at her foot, and score a minor hit. She counterstrikes twice
and misses. Instead of pulling the spear out of her foot, I slash at her with the halberd.
I gash open her stomach, spilling her guts, followed up with a stab at her upper body. It sticks in. I withdraw the spear, and stab her hand. Its severed, and she drops her glove. But not the lash. I stab her in the leg next, because even though she's a commander with a high dodge skill, I've got a damned halberd lodged inside her.
Long story short, I continue cutting her to pieces with a copper spear and silver halberd. She had a iron whip. I felt awesome reading that particular combat log. She never even hit me.
