Because the list is copied from the development page. Villain and bandits are not planned adventurer roles; Villains is a section for the Hero role, and bandits are a type of entity, effected by many sections.

Its on other places, you will be able to make your OWN enity-group, and your own sites, and capable of chopping wood to build said site.

And you telling me if you go and murder a entire town, that aint being a villain? Boy, you dwarfy.
If you want villain features, vote hero, because that's where Toady grouped the features for that.

There is a missing option (neither). I don't really care about adventure mode, but of these the trader option is the most interesting, mostly because it hasn't been done before.

I voted explorer. Mainly because that's the focus of everything I do in adventure mode.

I start in a town.

Make a pilgrimage across the world and then some to an abandoned fortress.

Exploring whatever on the way.

And die 2 days away from the fort in a tomb by accidentally setting off a spotted trap.

Thanks peasants.

Real helpful.

*sigh*

I love all the upcoming features though.

I don't know about roles but I would like something to spend all my money on. Like a building or something.

Other than that, explorer and trader sounds cool.

Treasure hunter. Because I love to hoard stuff despite the low survival time of my adventurers.

I want to be a trader. No single player game I have played so far explores that mechanic properly.

It was rather enjoyable, until I tripped on a crocodile and got ripped to shreds.

You're not supposed to trip over them!

I am hoping for the ability to dispense equipment to allies. I couldn't find it on the dev pages but it was mentioned briefly in a dftalk I think. The best I've been able to do so far is have zombies randomly wrestle out weapons stuck in people. I'd like to put some armor on the peasant recruits though, I find more than I'd ever need for myself unless I grow a lot more arms and legs.
