Finally... > Roll To Dodge
Roll to Game Show - Turn 25: This is....Axel?
Orb:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)I have tried LPs and forum games, but never a roll to dodge. Mainly because B12 makes such great RtDs and I'd hardly compete. But, this idea dawned on me, and I just had to try it.
Welcome to channel 4497, otherwise known as The Hunger Games! I am your host, Hal. Today we bring you a violent, dramatic race called humans, from the planet Earth! Intrigue and violence is sure to run thick in this episode with these mammalian bipeds, so make sure to stay tuned!
The Camera zooms out from the stage, away from the surprisingly human-like host, and darkens. The screens lights up again over a lush countryside of varying biomes.
The battlefield today is custom tailored, to be just like the natural habitat of the humans! Comfortable temperatures, rolling hills, forests, it's got it all! The humans are so stupid, they probably won't even know they left home!
The crowd laughs
Let's introduce our competitors, shall we?
Spoiler: Additional Info (click to show/hide)This is still in the works, but here's the basic idea.
I have never read The Hunger Games nor watched the movie. All I know are little pieces of information I've come across, and the title. What this means is a (likely) hilarious interpretation of what it actually is. A few replies have made me realize I know absolutely nothing about The Hunger Games, not even enough to call this an interpretation. So. This is The Not Hunger Games, what I would picture 'Hunger Games' would be, and has nothing related to the story itself. :P
I am going to have 5 characters, as I feel that is a good compromise between too large and too small, and will allow some interesting diplomacy.
As the title suggests, there will be hunger. Sleep and thirst are abstracted out. The following is definitely not definite and is likely to change:
Every turn is 15 minutes. After 10 turns, you have to eat an article of food. After that, the next 5 turns are Hunger, in which case you get a -1 to all rolls. After that, you die. For technicalities, the 10 turns starts the turn after you eat, and on turn 15 you die unless you eat something(So the end of turn 15, essentially).
Since turns are 15 minutes long, combat is mostly automated. Once you initiate combat, you'll have to give me a general battle plan, and some sort of escape if you don't want to fight to the death.
The goal of the game is to be the last one alive. The television program has to keeps things interesting, so expect anything.
I think I like the idea of showing this from the camera's point of view, and may run with it, with the host's commentary being the description of your action.
Who get's selected for the 'games' will be based on their bio. The better it is, the more likely you are to get in, not any sort of who posts first, so take your time. Priority will go to interesting characters.
Spoiler: Rolls (click to show/hide)1: You failed. Hard. May cause additional harm depending on the action (Ex. You attempt to knife someone, but accidentally lose your grip and the knife sails off into the distance)
2: You failed, but it's recoverable.
3: Minor Success. Not exactly what you planned, but at least it's something, right?
4: Average Success. Could have went better, but at least you came close.
5: Perfect Success. Went exactly as planned.
6: 'Went Better than Expected'. This wasn't what you planned, but you don't care.

(I've never seen or read the Hunger Games either. Let's be united in our ignorance and create something hilariously wrong!
Also you seem to have stolen my idea of writing a game from the perspective of the camera from my brain.)
Name: Pauly Traeker
Gender: Male
Bio: A quiet, conservative young man, ostracized by his peers for his unusual interests, such as crossword puzzles and classical music, and classical music-themed crossword puzzles. Pauly has a massive sweet-tooth and will kill for an oatmeal cookie. He also competed in an orienteering competition once and placed third. He was attending a writing club meeting with his equally socially awkward friends when he heard a high-pitched "woooo-boing!" noise and passed out.
