So... first time opening a thread, did a search before but nothing came up.

Imagine Startopia and Dungeon Keeper have a baby and DF is his best friend:

I liked Dungeon Keeper a lot and spend hours on Startopia. This seems to be very interessting especially because it gets some touches from DF. And somekind of "experimental" development aspects, quoted from Simon Reckons:“The plan is to keep it as a on-going piece and to let it grow organically, over a long period, in the same way Dwarf Fortress did.”

tl;dr: A Space-Dungeon-Keeper with some inspiration from DF.

I really like the concept but the website makes me wary.

The graphical style reminds me a touch of Evil Genius, to be honest.

Nope. When preorders open it seems it'll be a kickstarter-like (or actually kickstarter, don't know) tiered reward system. In fact, if you donate $1042 the developer will cook for you. o.O

Definitely looking forward to this, look at the pre-order list, for $1,000, he'll make you a mean by hand.  I like his sense of humor and dedication.  Anything like startopia in development should be supported!

oh have been waiting for something like this, this game has just taken the slot in my heart where conlans claim use to be ! want so bad, and also im likeing alot that the $15 will give us alpha access as well i think this will be a day 1 pre-order for me posting to watch cant wait for the kickstarter !.

someone should try email the devs and get him to join the website i know quite a lot others do as well would be nice to know where he plans on taking this.

From the screen shots i see a Mounted machine gun ? maybe your guys can use it when under attack, as well as guys with and without guns so maybe each one has its own inventory ?.

also MINI COWS!
