I've been playing the Chocolate mod and been having a blast but I think what would really complete the whole craftiness of that mod would be a way to build a base via building with logs/stones blocks/ect... Like the subject asks is there a mod that allows you to build or dig for mats in Adv mode?

It's 100% impossible. It would have been made if it were. Mods can add new features, not new mechanics.

Adventure mode is severely lacking in the mechanics department when compared to fortress mode, although I say that having hardly ever played adventure mode. Just the feeling I got from it.

oh, I figured it would be easy to implement since I thought it ran on the same things like DF mode, oh well guess I can find some abandoned houses or make one

I think you can make obsidian walls with dfhack, but thats about it.
