request, Stockpile Profile

(1/1)

MalikDama:
similar to embark profiles. Nearly ll of my stockpiles are custom, and often end up being duplicated manually which sometimes leads to bugs, like barrels being wrong or lye being in my food pile

Genybr:
Excuse me, doesn't you mean "ordering limits"?
- higher/maximal: stock not allow intake of a kind of goods, force allow give out;
- standard/normal: stock allow give out -\\-;
- lesser/minimal: stock disallow give out -\\-.

If it is so, that would be great. Sorry, your post is slightly hard for my linguistic ability.

weenog:
He wants to save stockpile settings between games because he sometimes screws up his settings when he configures them manually.  Apparently the idea is to do it once very carefully and then do it the same way automatically in the future.

Bugs are code problems btw.  User mistakes don't count.

Genybr:
But that is already included.
Way A: "Automatization"
1) ctrl+r
2) configuring
3) ctrl+s "stock N"
4) When necessary - ctrl+l "stock N"; ctrl+p
BTW, nice time optimization if you have kinda default structures

Way B: "Blueprints"
1) Purchase paper notebook. Small is fine too.
2) Use it as blueprint.
Tested and successfully approved by my own experience.

Along the lines of this, just a command to "copy stockpile settings" and apply them by point-and-enter would be great. For instance, when you have a dozen of small stockpiles for the same thing to reduce container block, and later want to change the number of bins allowed or repurpose the piles or such...

It would really save a lot of q, s, [lots of keystrokes], repeat.

In the same vein, it would be cool to be able to:
* enter the number of barrels/bins manually (like when ordering stuff through Manager)
* search for keywords/items/materials (again, like when ordering stuff through manager)
