Once again teetering like a drunk, one-legged sailor on the brink of war, the galaxy held its collective breath to see which side attacked first, and whatever flagging influence Colonizer.net may have had has long since passed, blown away by bad decisions in wartime and relegated to backwater sectors of space.
Colonizer, often called Collie by those intelligent droids that work to keep the moon-sized sphere of computer hardware afloat and running, had taken the recent drop in subscriptions hard, losing computer control in the Darlat
and Reretia empires, and, by extension, losing any resources that may have been sent its way for vital repairs.
So, Collie hatched a daring scheme, sending a small colonizer ship to planets about to take their first tentative steps into the great, black void of space to offer them a deal: Work for her, or be destroyed by 'friendly' empire colony ships seeking new worlds to turn into golf courses and slave-run factories.
Surprisingly, only four races responded well- or at least, well enough.
The races visited that sent back the application were:Descript:A dark-shelled, squat race with a number of appendages, most of which are tentacles or legs. They are hyper-active on food rich worlds, but slow down with how little they eat. They have a tendency to mutate incredibly quickly, producing many castes suited for one or two things, which adds to the natural disorder of the race and prevents generalization of tasks. They have a tendency to add old tech and parts to the outside of their shell.

Descript: A diminutive, ghost-like, manta-like race. This race has tentacular limbs and seem to be incredibly insubstantial, being nothing but of collection of gasses in a loose pocket of thin skin. It's a wonder how they manage to manipulate objects, but they seem to get along perfectly fine.

Mutation rate: Descript: A thin, tall race with big eyes and huge ears, known to come from a planet where light is rare and fleeting. They have a covering of very coiled and thatched fur, with its own miniature ecosystem of mites and insects to keep it clean and free of dirt, disease, and various parasites. They walk along on two to four limbs, being multi-dextrous with all of them. Their hands are much like human hands, except with six fingers. They live for an incredibly long time, and children seem to appear from nowhere, as there is no distinguishable sexual dimorphism among them.

Descript: Malformed, malnourished rodent creatures, much like a bipedal rat, each one is a scavenger and hunter, able to survive on bugs and tainted toilet water. Their current habitat is the ruins of a civilization long since collapsed by the strain of overpopulation. They often form into rough tribes, with the leader often being the biggest, and thus the best at finding food.
