Mostly because "The Bible" didn't exist then.

I suppose I really meant "The events in the Bible", unless they weren't calling themselves real either.

In that case, someone should really put "The events in this book are entirely fictitious", to stop people from getting ideas.

Several parts are not (wars and such), though you might call it revisionist.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Amazingly Stupid Things You've Heard People Say

"Are these dishes clean?"

Generally yelled from the kitchen, to me in an entirely different room...by somebody standing with the dishwasher open and looking inside.

Do I win?
The examples or the people commenting on them?

Or both?

FSTDT has become an Internet Black Hole. There is no way to distinguish the trolls from the genuine, in or out of the examples. The same thing applies to Conservapedia.

Hmmm.... A conversation involving games and what makes them decent would have to top my list. I myself suggested DF for it's ubiquitous depth and complexity, my friend suggested red faction for it's oh so lovely physics engine and our rather unfortunately more fan-boyish friend...  Modern Warfare (3? I can't freaking tell, all FPS games are the same these days)... For the graphics.
But then wouldn't something like crysis be better?

Not quite true. Quotes from well-known political or religious figures, for example, are unlikely to be trolls. But yeah, lots of trolling and fakes there.

... Paper bags to save trees.
Paper. Saves. Trees.
I literally just lost four points from my IQ typing that.

Be happy that an average kid would even know what it is.
