Just one more turn.
Two more hours. If you're lucky enough.

Will start writing Turn 9.

Don't get too anticipating, though; it might take a week.

Also, I suggest naming your sister, Tiruin.

"Well, we're here, and we had no problem at all. Let's look around and see what we can find." Stalith said before walking away cheerily.

Eat some bread, look for any hard menial work the elves may be needing help on or even rewarding help for, so the muscles don't rust too much. afterwards check the stores, any with cheap cloth and sewing material works.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

"Ok, you do that and I'll go looking for a quest or something."

Eat and drink a bit and afterwards, go look for someone in charge to get a quest from!

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It was a time of peace and solace. Time used well to refresh their fatigued bodies, enjoying the warm light of the rising sun, and the fresh air of the evergreen glades.

The shifting colors of the trees and plants were amazing. Surely, Ria knew the lay-out of the land better than she, and as a result, the best places to stay.

After quite sometime in silence, Alana decided to break it. She pushed herself up and turned to look at her sister. Hopefully she would take it well, being lost with what to say wasn't a good indication.

"So..."

"Hmm?"

Strangely, she was also standing up and hefting a satchel by the shoulder, beaming.

"Why do you...look all prepared of a sudden? You're- no."

"This is why I took that detour, I couldn't tell you earlier because it was a surprise. You never take hints, do you?"

"Well...I- don't know what to say."

"Then let me start; the poem of Thera, first of the venturers:"

"For long, the road may be,
And far, safety shall run;
I, as an adventurer,
Shall stay true 'till I am done.

No travel is as ardent
As the satisfaction of one's work.
For doth we wade in the shadow,
The light is there by the morrow."

"One of the oldest scripts of lore, but I guess it'll work out fine."

"But...you're unarmed. And who would look after our home?"

"Don't you worry one bit. I'll be going along with you."

Seeing the smile on her face, Alana did not wish to break the feel of the moment -- her sister was far more versed in combat than she.

She felt a well of confidence grow inside her.

Return near home, ask around if there are any quests that are of me, and my sister's position.

Then check our home for any suitable weaponry to bring, just in case.

Shorten.

Turn 10 – The Rodent Men, The Quests, The Work, and The Assessment

Granite 2, 251
It is mid – morning.

At Liwaalisa, “Strike Bud”, Forest Retreat
Alana Teucer’s POV

It was a time of peace and solace. Time used well to refresh their fatigued bodies, enjoying the warm light of the rising sun, and the fresh air of the evergreen glades.

The shifting colors of the trees and plants were amazing. Surely, Ria knew the lay-out of the land better than she, and as a result, the best places to stay.

After quite sometime in silence, Alana decided to break it. She pushed herself up and turned to look at her sister. Hopefully she would take it well – being lost with what to say wasn't a good indication.

"So..."
"Hmm?"

Strangely, your sister was also standing up and hefting a satchel by the shoulder, beaming.

"Why do you...look all prepared of a sudden? You're… no…"
"This is why I took that detour, I couldn't tell you earlier because it was a surprise. You never take hints, do you?"
"Well... I-I… don't know what to say."

"Then let me start; the poem of Thera, first of the venturers:"

"For long, the road may be,
And far, safety shall run;

You see Ria’s smile, and you did not want to end the moment – your sister was a bit better versed at combat than you.

You felt a well of confidence grow inside you.
You go to the guild and ask for your sister’s statistics. Ria goes in for testing while you wait.

Spoiler: Ria Teucer (click to show/hide)

Ria comes back, and you both are approached by the guildmaster.

”Ria Teucer, you may take a Copper Dagger, Bow and 100 Arrows, Disguise, and/or two Mana Potions and a scroll of spells.”

”Go for the disguise!”
”I’ll take the lot –”
”Yes!”
”– to give company to my sister so she wouldn’t feel alone with her costume.”
”Hey! You…”
”All right. Enegica! A copper dagger, bow and 100 arrows, goblin disguise, and two mana potions and a scroll of basic spells!”

You hear a few footsteps and a young Elf appears with your items.

”Here they are.”

”Why don’t we take a quest?”
”Alright, it shouldn’t hurt much.”

”I am here to discuss serving your cause.”

[30]
The guildmaster smiles.
”Is there a point in being so formal with your own birthtown? Anyways.
“There is a young elf called Sema Alithicasena. She goes to school at the eastern part of this retreat. If you could escort her over and back to her house, it would be very helpful, as she is afraid of everything. Also, you’ll earn 10☼ every time – there and back is twice. This shall be your quest, if you will accept it. Of course, you can stop anytime you’d like. Oh yeah, here’s a map.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

“Also, since she likes seeing scenery and is a little socially awkward, the path,” here he pauses and points at the orange watercolored path, ”in orange, doesn’t take the usual paths.

Will you accept? 20 min until turn end.

At Nishvukrig, “Trade Drifts”, Mountain Home
Fekod Sladeborn’s POV

”Cero, I’m going to go to the first cavern again.”
”I’m… uh… coming with you.”
”Uhh… Okay…”

You go to Cavern Layer 1.

[1 / 4] You encounter two Rodent Men!

You hear small footsteps.

”They’re coming after us!”

[11 vs 5] You snap out of shock.

You both scream at the exact same time:

RUN! HELP! HELP!

Spoiler: The Chase (click to show/hide)

Cero Undulai’s POV

”Cero, I’m going to go to the first cavern again.”
”I’m… uh… coming with you.”
”Uhh… Okay…”

You go to Cavern Layer 1.

[1 / 4] You encounter two Rodent Men!

You hear small footsteps.

[7 vs 5] You snap out of shock.

RUN! HELP! HELP!

Spoiler: The Chase (click to show/hide)

Pictures will come later, this is last-minute, and the pictures aren't finished.

In Araneomu, “Lacy Markets”, Forest Retreat
Gregory Gianovich’s POV

”Well, we’re here, and we had no problem at all. Let’s look around and see what we can find!” said Stalith cheerfully.
”Ok, you do that and I’ll go looking for a quest or something.”

Stalith heads off as you eat and drink. You find the Elder in the main court.

[10 vs 4]
”Hello, I am Gregory Gianovich from Jonicmon, the capital of Satthaomon,” you say in almost fluent Universal Language. ”I am here to serve your cause.”
”Hello there, Sir Gianovich. I am Nym Emethafatha, Elder of Araneomu. We have many conflicts, but there is two that I believe you may consider.”

“The first is about the Human bandits to our East, preventing us from trading easily with our original homeland, Ceyecanethitha. They have looted many of our caravans and killed many of our traders.”

“The other is that there are some… rouge Elves to the North – West. They occasionally attack when they can, stealing our rope reed products and wooden products. They know not of magic, but have many traps.”

”Tell me more about these human bandits.”
”There are about [15] 15 human bandits as of the 14th of Opal, the last time we have scouted them.”
You quickly translate the date to the 14th of January. That’s two months ago!? you think.
Nym, seeing the look of surprise on your face, informs you [4]”The bandit’s numbers rise and fall. During the winter is when they fall most. During the summer is when they rise most. They mostly rise about one person a year, average. However… the weapons they have there is very strong, stealing our items only as emergency backup. The first trap, too, is very strong, as it is… a serrated disc of steel and a little of a blue metal.”

Uh oh.

”What about the Elves?”
[2]”All we know of them is that they are superior bowmen and have left only one, if any, elves from our scouting parties live.”

”I’ll ask my companion, then come up with a decision?”
Nym chuckles. ”He’s making stuff right now. I wouldn’t disturb him.”
”How- never mind, you are the elder here... What can I do while I wait?”
If you want, you can take a short nap, eat or drink anything, or buy something – we’re perfectly fine with treating Human adventurers. Just don’t cause any trouble.”

Five seconds awkwardly pass.

”It’s not like I’d expect that, though, Mr. Gianovich, Human Adventurer for a day.”

You should make a decision. 20 minutes left until turn end. Refer to §3 of the OP.

Stalith Ngirathil’s POV

”Well, we’re here, and we had no problem at all. Let’s look around and see what we can find!” you say cheerfully.
”Ok, you do that and I’ll go looking for a quest or something.”

You walk away cheerfully and ask around.

Spoiler: Possible Tasks (click to show/hide)

You go to the industrial part of the Elven Forest Retreat.

”I’d like to create a few swords, bows, shields, and clothing.”
”Sure. So… this is a Carpenter’s Workshop, a Clothesmaker’s Workshop, and the stockpiles of wooden blocks, created from dead trees and magic, and the cloth stockpile, created from the thread of dead rope reed plants and magic.”

You get to work.

[7][14][13][16][33][24][13]

In 34 minutes, you have created:
Wood Sword
- Wood Sword –
- Wood Shield –
- Wood Shield –
* Wood Bow *
+ Wood Bow +
- Clothes –

You are paid $100.

You eat a loaf of bread and one water to wash it down.

You may post your action for the next turn.

A month or two, huh? What an idiot I am... a day was enough.
All of you need to make decisions.
The reason I was able to do this so early was because I had no homework today. Lots of other people do - it's just that I do everything on the first day.

Read it again?

Stalith Ngirathil’s POV
You must make a decision. 35 minutes left until turn end. Refer to §3.
Section 3
Occasionally, a character may find themselves in an ongoing battle that lasts less than an hour (one turn), or other things that require action changes in less than an hour. I will write the RtD as normal, but writing You are in an ongoing battle, You must make a decision, or something like that at the end of your POV.
You must reply to me in a PM in a day, or be NPC'ed till another move-changing encounter happens. The other characters will write their turns normally, and the RtD will be updated in the post, in your POV. You will be notified by PM and this will keep going 'till you come out of that.

Note: exception for the "in a day" thing. I'm a bit too busy...
