I see I'm completely useless as a doctor, which is nice.  Just wait until I get out of this bed, and I can start actually practicing.  Bruised toe?  Amputate.  Broken arm?  Amputate.  Gangrene?  Go run some laps, you'll be fine.

Quick, send me after the vampire! Dwarf justice must be served!
I'll leave that up to Eric for when his turn comes. I'm finding Nex far too useful to be served a hot plate of justice at this moment.

(also, you were replaced by Reason as the sheriff when you died, forgot to mention that)

Me, but I'm willing to relinquish the position. Consider it done.

Spish, man, your updates always rock.  I had to close my office door due to my laughter.

Oh, and also: did I survive the FB chase?  Did "Yakey Sax" -- aka the Benny Hill theme -- play in the background as it was going on?

What was the letter "M" that did so much damage? Was it the zombie titan?

Also, I am inordinately proud of my dwarf right now. She has more kills than my average adventurer, but has faced horrors far worse than any of them ever did :) Great update, too.

Generally, when one is conducting an experiment, it is worth noting that the observers went insane, killed each other, and then rose from the dead.
It's like DF inhaled a peanut.

Yeah, the "periwinkle" M is the zombie titan from before. A masterwork stone hatch cover wasn't enough to keep it down.
Oh, and also: did I survive the FB chase?  Did "Yakey Sax" -- aka the Benny Hill theme -- play in the background as it was going on?
Of course you survived. Large room, therefore large chance for survival.

Of course you survived. Large room, therefore large chance for survival.

But I have beaten good odds of survival many times in DF, snatching defeat from the (sometimes literal) jaws of victory.

Sample:

<Silverlock>:   You want some of this?  You think you can take me just because you're a titanic eldritch monstrosity steeped in the blood of my ancestors?  Huh?  You want a piece of me?
<FB>:   Graarrr!    <chomp>
<Silverlock>:   . . . Actually, could I have that particular piece back?

Wait ...

The outpost liason made it in. The surface is zombie free. We have a paint the fort green project going on ...

This is *way* too productive for a Battlefailed fort ...

Fucking hell man, you aren't just getting the short end of the stick, you're being beaten with it.

Is your plan really to flush water into hell, and have the CARP marines fight them without threat of flame or disease?  If so, you are awesome, and one of the greatest DF military visionaries I've seen yet ( not that I've seen that many, or any, for that matter )

I am deeply disturbed and frightened. Why are things not going wrong?

Naturally, now that we've pointed that out, everything that could possibly go wrong, along with many things for which going wrong is impossible, will go wrong. And everything will be normal again.

Don't worry, once I take the reins I'm sure the fort will start to come apart at the seams. Again.

Quit it, you'll jinx the jinx...  wait a minute.

Is that how Horrorfailed will break reality this time around?

Infinite Murphy's Law recursion?
