Any chance to recover from damaged spine?

I'm new to Adventurer Mode and am now faced with this:

lower spine, nervous tissue
   Cut apart

Is there any way to recover from that? A crawling hero is not really appealing. On the other hand, a swordsman in a wheelchair would be awesome. :D

Go find a/some crutches. I suggest looking in a castle keep.

Not in vanilla.

Bruised spinal nervous tissue you can recover from with a minor tweak to the raws (adding a healing rate to the Nervious Tissue entry), but I don't think even that would have helped with Cut Apart.

You can heal anything if you're a werecreature by waiting to for the full moon to transform. Of course, I imagine surviving a werecreature bite is tricky even if you do still have all your limbs.

Instead of crutches, that are really just crude prosthetics, it would be cool to have a skill that would allow you to walk on hands while having blades and hammers on leg stumps for incredible kicking damage.
