Continuing along means he hasn't stopped working on the back end and doesn't have anything particularly reportable to note about the front end, or at least that's how I interpret it.  Every day he's said "continuing along" the numbers have plummetted. =)

Expanding on what JT said, I think he just puts the "continuing along" bit in when nothing really exciting happened during testing. No mules were decapitated by a stray grain of sand or something weird like that, so he keeps it terse.
