If you want the fort to survive (or atleast delay their inevitable demise) seal the enterence with walls.
On the other hand you can just leave them open in drunken stubborness and lead the fortress to a memorable ending.

Too bad Lava can't be under Pressure, or you could do a fountain.

You could pressurize it using a pump, I believe.

Just did drink 2 beers. and they're Belgian.

One double-fermented... t'was Maison Dupont and the other one was a blueberry flavored one. Don't remember the name.

Let's open this save... i still have cider and 2 Chimay's.

OK, starting this. It's 20:50 here, I am sufficiently drunk already.

20:50 My first move will be to lock up this fort, else it falls to dramatic things.

20:57 The entry is closed, with feather wood.

21:01 Now to make a graveyard out of it. I don't see how can you build new magma shenanigans out of it.

21:06 attempting to make a good chain of command out of this. Manager is done.

21:07 why is there a cave dragon inside the first stockpile ???

21:10 and some melee dwarf just got killed against a gob hammerman. Which is inside as well.

21:12 oh god what i closed it wrong there's a whole damn squad of war cave dragons in there

21:14 I closed it wrong, really. Let's hope my military can kill them. Why are there 2 entries to the fort?

21:18 Goblins are inside the fort. as well as war cave dragons.

There's a lever named "kill everything" in there. Maybe I should pull it?

21:22 Just pulled the "murder everything" lever. Considering there are goblins before it I don't think this will be pulled.

21:24 Well, I think this fort is done. I just dug to drown the whole fort in magma.

21:28 Only 29 citizens left. I think i'm gonna abandon because there is no way I can save all this shit.

OK, we're only three left. I am abandoning the fort.

Will try a new fortress now.

We're in a 2x3 world, between the dune of temples and the feverish jungle.

4 tiles of warm wilderness rocky wasteland, 2 of haunted temperate conifer forest.

Clay, lots of soil, aquifer, metals, flux stone. Done.

History of the outpost  Savagedrinker, work of the dwarven group Drownedale the ageless golden thirst-beer.

1st Granite, 131, Early Spring : So we are starting to build through this. Let's dig through the mountain, there's a volcano next to this.

3rd granite : already the raven corpses are bothering us. We should dig swiftly to protect us from the undead.

6th granite : the war dogs are fighting against the raven corpses. Dog blood is splattered for lord Khorne's glory. We are digging and putting some distance between us and the undead.

12th granite: The raven corpses are defeated! Now a single barn owl corpse is there. I have already made a mason and mechanic, we will build a bridge swiftly!

28th granite: Closed the bridge. all dwarves are inside. We shall be safe from the undead menace... for now.

Now let's build downwards so we get to a soil layer and can start farms.

6th slate : Opening bridge so the woodcutter may go fell a few trees. Of course, the barn owl jumps on the opportunity.

8th slate : barn owl is dead, now there is a normal great horned owl. Maybe i'll be able to cut a few trees and build beds.

19th slate : Planting plump helmets, farms are on. The fort seems to be pretty fine by now.

I wonder if this Undead-enabled fort will last longer than the last.
I may or may not take a turn tonight (that being in GMT -7) if the save is up. Or I may just play BF3 and take a shot when I die and fail to take someone with me. Dangerous game, that. Generally less hangover inducing than Drunk Fortress though, which is frightening.  (I'm not especially good at BF3)

New plan, probably no turn for me. Oh well.
