200 volcanos is a good start! We ran out in the first world if I remember correctly.

Looking forward to reading the turn!
There's a solid 6-7 hours before DS was thinking about being smashed enough, plenty of time for a turn and upload.
I do love me a day with two DDF turns!

That however will cause fortress-stopping FUN in the second or third year...

anyways, I'm boozed up. If you finish up that year in 2-3 hours I will take a turn, but my booze stocks are dwindling already.

We have this aquifer problem...

Well, it turned out that the aquifer is not a problem, the dust is. I have just starting digging, everything outside yet.
With all this generating I feel really sleepy and hungry.  I suppose I will upload for someone else to continue.

Good luck with the aquifer! I've never seen one right next to a volcano like that. Could make things Fun.

How in Khorne's name do you get an aquifer that bloody close to a volcano ? When I had aquifers next to volcanoes it was at least 3-4 tiles away from the obsidian.

anyways, feel free to reveal the hell out of the map with dfhack to dig where is there no aquifer.

If there is an aquifer all over the map... Good luck. Especially while drunk.

There are two stairs which go past the aquifer, aome farms aet up, a couple of stockpiles... And one dwarf and some animals in need of a doctor.

05:03 Okay... let's try to save this. There are animals outside, and the wagon, visibly completely untouched by the evil cloud things. Let's see what I can do with this.

05:06 So the evil cloud causes rotting ? Heh. I understand why the animals are outside then. Oh well, no carp husks.

05:10 Well, there are 2-3 levels of aquifer, sand and yellow sand only. It's not a problem since volcanic rock surrounds the volcano (yes, really) quite generusly.

Not exactly fitting since i'm in a haunted biome. anyways, no undead in sight, just that rotting mist. It doesn't seem to kill, at least not at small doses.

05:16 I will build a bridge to close the fort asap. Maybe butcher the hungry grazers as well.

although considering the militia commander is a walking source of miasma as well... this may be fun.

AIGHT. Here we go. I usually expend some amount of effort correcting my speling as I go, but I' for the sake of the project, I'll abstain from using the backspace key. At this point, I'd say I've had a little more than two shots of vodka. My drink of choice, neat.

Digging out a dining hall from orthoclase and marble. In celebration, I poured myself another two shots. Vodka of the Gods from TJ's. Mmm mm. How did we get so much steel? There's like a dozen weapons jsut lying around.

I think I've finally figured out where everything is, which indicates to me that I may not be as drunk as neceessary ujust yet.

Dining hall excavated. Digging out a magma forge area now. Hopefully by the time the first migrants arrive, we can have a good glass industry going. Or something.

There's that equilibrium between "drink moar, shorter turn, probably more fun" and "drink so you keep a good, long turn". But it depends of your alcohol resistance.

Let's see how this turn goes.

All but one of the dogs are dead, and the last one is sure to go soon too. It look slike the dust is fatal, causing terminal rot. Anything that comes into contact with it rots alive. Until they die. Of rot.

One of the miners just burst into flames while digging near the edge of the volcano. I dno't know how. Just... one moment, he was digging, the next moment, poof, !!miner!!

lukcily, he has the good decensy to stay in one spalce

Ok, good fortuen that our mason isn't dead. So our coffin industry is totallly up and running.

Thiungs are going great. At 5 dwarves. Hopefully anohter mogratn wave some coon.

A rampaging rotting camel was moving through the fort, so I mobilized one of the dwarves who had a skill with an axe to take care of it. Things ended poorly. 4 dwarves.
