To sum up my turn a bit more coherently, I've increased the population to about 20, made a bunch of picks and activated mining on the immigrants. Sadly despite building a massive number of coffins and slabbing a bunch of ghosts there's still major unhappiness. Also running low on drink in the fortress, so you may want to get the farming situation under control.

I bet, you appeared very Dwarven.
Despite that, you seem to have dragged the fort away from the edge of doom, at least a little bit.

You know guys, after seeing Bobnova's donation and thinking about it, I realized: I've been a fucking awful OP. Your genius deserves better.

This terrible idea-come-reality obviously means a lot more to you guys than I really remembered. It provides an outlet for a lot of you, and a hell of a lot of entertainment for others--especially with the massive update. I have impregnated the OP with things that are more important, more shiny bauble-y, and generally less cluttertastic. This should be able to attract more drunks to the Banner, as well as keep the OP less of a steamy impenetrable jungle of shitshow. I know the original histories have taken a hit, but it's become too unmanageable; I've saved the last contents of the original-original post into a word file should anybody want it.

With this said, I will now begin to keep up with everything more efficiently and on a turn-by-turn basis, rather than randomly every world or three. Drink responsibly and play on,
