DPS is damage per second.
DPS death means your dwarves getting machinegunned to death.

Mainly it's because D and F are right next to each other on the keyboard and this thread was created quite early in the day.

It's really funny watching them do unnecessary surgery because of a wrong diagnosis.
the conditions were bad enough to turn a dwarf who didn't care about anything mad, that's pretty hardcore.

Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
So when you do judge them, you would be a mile away and have their shoes.

Naturally.

You wouldn't also happen to have a solution to my problem would you?

I thought Quietust had the problem sussed.

You could also abandon the fortress and use Legends mode to get the worldgen settings, and then regen the world and start over at 0 reclaims. Make a note of the fortress location before you delete the old folder. I've misplaced sites through thinking I could find them again in a fresh world.

Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

I'd rather not do that simply because I'd like to sustain my old fortresses.  If I'm going to regen I might as well gen a whole new world.

A WHOLE NEW WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORLD

Yeah sorry I had to...

Anyway, I'm not saying the Lua solution didn't fix it, I'm saying I couldn't get the Lua solution to work so I was hoping someone else could try to use Lua to fix it and then send me the fixed file.

Tried it myself on some troglodytes. You probably typed in creature id instead of creature_id?
