yup the most current mod is in Deon's genesis.   Deon borrowed and updated that mod (with credit due).  Here is two original forum links.

Actually, that still leaves me with another question.  Does the way they did it in the Genesis mod register as an item in the room, or in any way add it's value to that of the room?  That is my main concern...

Random research on this (in version 34.11), because it came up in another thread, and discovered something interesting:

If you build a room and size it before building a display case inside, then the display case adds to the room's value.  However, if you build the display case first, then its value is ignored for the new room.  Even once the display case is included, if you (r)esize the room, then it gets ignored until you break down and rebuild the display case.

So always build your display cases last.

Necro - I'll be using Grimlocke's code refinement in the 40.13 (updated 40.16) succession game "Museum of Natural History".  Yes, display cases have jumped to the 40.xx version.  Also added [BUILD_KEY:CUSTOM_I] to give the workshop a hotkey association.
