If there is evil in this world, it lurks in the hearts of gamers...

Well, finals are coming up, and I have a minimal amount of work to do. To fill up that spare time, I decided on doing a Let's Play of a favorite game of mine:



That's right. The game that started the Tales series (which is definitely nothing like the Final Fantasy series at all), in its original SNES glory. I've only ever played ToP on the Game Boy Advance, so I'm not sure what differences there are in this version. But, here goes nothing!

Note: I'm using the DeJap translation of the Japanese SNES game.

What's this? I already have to name characters? That means I have to be creative and stuff! Let's see...



Perfect!



And now we see those 4 heroes of legend, fighting the evil demon king Dhaos. They're not very good at HP management.

The mage casts Indignation!



It's incredibly effective! Dhaos has been reduced to glitter and sparkles! Yay, game over, we win!



See? The credits are rolling as Dhaos's glittery remains travel through the time vortex. All we need now is some appropriate music.



Wait... Dhaos is back? And so are the 4 legendary heroes? But... Did they travel through time, too? How can this be?



Looks like they have the situation under control, though.



They sealed Dhaos away with two pendant-necklace-amulet-thingies as keys. Now the world can live in peace! Yay!

[insert boring conversations here to introduce Miguel (the Doctor's father) and Chester, and to reference one of those pendant-necklace-amulet-thingies]



Chester thinks Amy is too young to go adventuring with him and the Doctor. Maybe after twelve years and four psychiatrists, she'll be ready.

[more boring conversations to introduce Tristan and Maria (the Doctor's mother)]



Aaaaaaaaand we finally have control over the characters. Could this be a playable epilogue?

More to come later. I'm sad that I couldn't rename Chester. I was all ready to name him Rory.
