Nope. pretty much just figured it all out through experimentation.

The delete function on the editor can be a little confusing in the galaxy screen.  Make sure you select the type of object you want to delete.  I also recommend putting down all the planets first, then putting the jump routes between them because changing jump routes around can be buggy as heck.

Technically that just means you can't create the world. All you need to GM is a working copy of EoFS and for people to follow the rules (i.e send you their turns). But then making a new and cool map is half of the fun for some people.

I can probably manage two turns a week.  Whether or not that means I'll be able to keep up with everyone, I don't know.

Oh hey, I managed to get the map editor running.  In case anybody else has the same trouble as me the secret was to download Wing32.dll and put it in C:\Windows\SysWOW64.  I'm also putting this here for the next time my hard drive dies (although maybe windows 9 will be out by then).

I suspect further generations of windows will only make it harder to run this late 90s game, not easier.

Hello to everyone that still enjoys playing this wonderful classic game, several of us at the EFS Steam Group are starting a new PBEM game and are looking for committed players to join, if you are interested please send me an email at bryanjosephmills@gmail.com.

Also, here is the link to the Emperor Wars Mod, (in it's final version a combination of EFS 1.4, Reality Mod, and Emperor Wars) if you have any problems running it please let me know.

Please remember Emperor Wars is the most advanced Mod out there and the Church, League, and Symbiots are really aggressive but it is a lot of fun.
