If dwarves carried purses...

...What would they keep in them?
This is my response to the Reddit thread that popped up.

I would say this:
Mining pick
Plump helmets
Booze
!!Babies!!
Socks, lots of them.
The rest of the purse is filled with sand.

Aside from socks, plump helmets, and alcohol, none of that would fit in a regulation purse.

EDIT: Moved to DF General Discussion as the fact that it had dwarves was completely oblivious to me at the time, even though I made the thread. I was tired. That is my excuse.

A purse-hauling dwarf would carry a bottle made of ice in it. It is filled with magma. Don't ask me how it doesn't melt, that's just the way dwarven science works!

Of course, booze and socks are the essentials in any dwarf's purse. The purse itself would be made out of cat leather.

Purses were a thing that came up back when the economy was a thing, as a mitigator of the negative effects of coin-hauling. In DF, as in history, they would be for money.
