Oh those fools.
Yeah, it's not like it's the first time Onol has had to contend with angey elves. Or angry elf peasants. Specifically, this village; I think I've massacred it twice now, leaving the king alive each time.
In essence, Onol be trolling. And killing a whole village again.

The prophets have spoken that Onol is destined to be slain by the least suited enemy who manages to stab him in the face with a copper bonecarving knife.

Actually, the one time that Onol actually DID die without my stupid being a factor was when he somehow got shot in the throat by a goblin while sleeping. He woke up with a slahsed throat, killed every single goblin there, and died.
Of course I savescummed because I wanted to actually have a chance to fight my enemy before being mortally wounded, of course, but still.

That sort of thing often happens with my adventurers. But it's more often my lungs getting torn apart, so I just charge into battle carelessly and die to an arrow in the face, suffocation be damned.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I usually die from something getting any part of any of the two legs I have, and many nerves are torn and my face is gone. And why is my brain a milkshake.

So remember when I said I was close to retiring and going to hell (literally)? Well, I, after remembering this again, went ahead and did it. Onol can now go to hell, but due to [REAL_LIFE_PROBLEM] I can't post the final post right now. If you want, expect it in a few weeks-several months. I have a post written up and everything; complete with no character resolution, and will post it whenever I can. Just know this:

All they said about demons was a lie
For with enough <<copper pick>> even death may die

(Apologies for the double post)

--SURPRISE UPDATE--

It's BOGEYMAN TIME, EVERYBODY!

After trekking across the new island for about two days, fighting off wolves, sand antlions and a sea monster while Very Drowsy, Onol has been attacked by boogeymen. Just thought you should know. I'll post the combat logs in a spoiler. No pictures, I'm afraid.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
If you wish I'll do an awesome in-character account of the fight.

I think those logs are fake, seeing as there is "YOu" instead of "You".

He might've very well have written it off from the game, not knowing that you can copy it over from Gamelog.txt in the Dwarf Fortress folder.

And I have no doubt in the legitimacy of it, considering we're talking about this guy:

A normal map with water. (I class all of the default params as normal.)
