 as the cells replicate, we gain more if we do not stress and tear the muscles, literally gaining a six-pack for laying around doing nothing.

Just to stop you from gaining the power to tear buildings in half by breathing too hard, let's say that the healing only kicks in when healing's needed.

Um, that's not how healing works. It only heals when you're hurt.


Thankfully (?), muscles tear a little when used, which would be healed very quickly. So we could work out longer and more efficiently.

Let me put it simply: Cells die at the same time as they are replaced. Healing factor augments the cell replacement therefore outrunning the death. We gain muscle tissue due to constantly gaining cells.

So it's like beneficial cancer!
Cells like to be aware of slight changes in your body, like addition of massive amounts of other cells
So your body tells some cells not to reproduce at all/not much

Yeah. Sorry, I usually uphold sci-fi to (how I understand/the limits of my knowledge of) real-world science, barring phlebotinum.
