How good at cutting is Silksteel? And the hell is a Jitte? It's classed as a mace right?

It's a weapon sort of like a police baton, but having also a guarded hilt suitable for parrying or disarming swordsman.  Carried by samurai in situations where it would be inappropriate to have a sword, like on police duty or when guarding senior officials.

I was just asking if it was classed as a mace or a hammer honestly. I figured when i looked it up it was basically a fancy beating stick.

but I guess if you search-in-files the raws for jitte you'd find it very quickly.  Despite being blunt I would have made it dagger skill if I were designing it.

Silksteel is one of the best cutting metals, third after elementium/starmetal. You need tier 4 (megabeast/alicorn) chitin to make it.

Thank you. I have a couple purchased bars and wanted to know what i should use it for (And since morningstars are edged maces, how good the one I looted from a corpse would be.)

I have an approximate plan for the next version, but the problem is that I'm still distracted by an even greater number of shiny things.

Are the ponies with the tentacles on their heads(not sure what the name was) part of some fan fic, or are they your creation?

I'm assuming whole cloth for the mod. I had misinterpreted them when I first fought them in an older version of this mod as having a bunch of long tentacles coming out of their midsection to manipulate objects (because I only saw tentacle pony, and din't bother to look at its description.)

Honestly I'm half tempted to try and make my own version of the diomedians now that i think about it...

Well, not quite. My imagination basically made them subspecies of basic pony that had adapted to be more predatory and having either similarities or differences to thier surface cousins.

Spoiler:  How I had envisioned Diomedia's population/army at first because I never looked at thier descriptions the first time (click to show/hide)

Cave Pony (not what's in game) - Light sensitive baseline comparable to an earth pony. Need special eye wear to function on the surface during the day (this light sensitivity is a crippling weakness of this otherwise sturdy reliable pony species) and have sharper teeth indicating a meat-based diet.

Tentacle pony (See previous statment) - Less sensitive to light and possessing between 2 -5 tentacles that they typically wrap around their bodies when not in uses. The down side is these things are very sensitive and the process of 'Sprouting' them in their puberty can very likely drive them insane from sheer pain, making them fairly pain insensitive when not regarding their tentacles if they didn't completely snap when they came in. They can also use weak magic and some noncombat spells such as a type of locator spell to find enemies or very weak telekinesis.

These ponies make up the rank and file of the population, with deathwings being less common, being effectively mutated or cave-adapted pegasi with different physical traits and generally being far nastier ina fight than thier feathery relatives, and a crapshoot on light sensitivity (some need the same stuff as cave ponies, some don't.)

Leading them are the emperor's spawn, Dark Royals, thier equivalent of 'common' alicorns. Mostly their operations against Equestria fall under a constant "Love me daddy" problem, which gets many of them killed as they try to earn his favor/respect. The emperor is also implied to be either one hell of a bastard or just that good with the mares of the population. These fliers are capable of terrifying magic when they receive the proper training, ranging from humble manipulation of tools or weapons up to destructive arcane blasts that can destroy small buildings.

Mixed in are, of course, foalnapped Equestrians who make up for some of thier weaknesses but are generally treated as second class citizens.

Honestly this mod had a hoof... hand... whichever... In sparking this big narrative me and another guy are working on, spurred partly by these above assumptions. Kinda snowballed into involving a damn near global war, humans who've been hiding in ruins, and a mess of other things that would take a long time to explain...
