Would we play as the empire or as the person ruling the empire?  Also what's stopping someone from creating an empire in this game?  I could persuade a group of humans to make me their king couldn't I?

Sure. Not going to really be an empire though; the empire game would have a hex based map, specific resource systems, etc.

Oh I didn't understand that's what you meant.  Sounds a bit like dominions which I like a lot.

Honestly both sound fun, although the empire idea seems a bit difficult to do by thread.

Nah, they're just another race. If they were angels they'd be expensive as hell and GWG would've been asleep.
