Just came back after a month of NaNoWriMo. I have to say, mounting an overhead lamp on casters for mobile lighting is my new favorite thing so far. Bravo!

Summer sucks. Can't wear any armor, can't even wear a decent backpack without going into warm/very hot territory. All I can wear is light clothing plus a few non-warming carrying items (fanny pack, tool belt, chest rig, drop leg pouches). Ugh.

Guess it's time to read up. Can't explore without armor (at least, not without inviting death).

I realized why the Black Road mode is named what it is. I'm pretty sure its a reference to the Stalker:CoP mod Misery, which has a terribly mean mode named black road as well.

Say, if you give birth on a ranch and then murder your baby will a corpse drop be guaranteed?

Oh shit I forgot that Misery was a thing! I was waiting for it way back when 1.0 wasn't even out... Thanks for that!

Don't bother, I tried it and it's unplayable hideous garbage.

My pleasure. It's a great mod, but It has to be the hardest game I've ever played. Quicksaves are the best thing since sliced bread.

Heresy! Although I do see where you are coming from. I had to stop playing for about a month before I ever came back to it.

Bleeding out from one wound before you can holster your weapon, pull out the coagulant, use the coagulant, put away coagulant, use bandages, put away bandages, stop dying, and heal 2% of your health, then re-draw your weapon and take another shot once you find the guy again to repeat the process wasn't "hard" because there's no skills I can build to adjust to the challenge. Especially when none of that at all applies to the enemy bullet sponges who don't flinch from a rifle round to the chest.

Don't even get me started on their "art."

It's the only game type of anything I ever quite and uninstalled after 20 minutes (and that was after trying for 3 hours to even make it start up so I could get the menu, then restart so I could pick a class, then restart so I could play the game).

Like I said, I can see where you are coming from. I enjoy the artificial difficulty stuff by trying to think my way around it. The mod can be stupid, and cheats like a bastard.

Yep, sorry about that. fake difficulty is one of my berserk buttons.

Back on topic...

How much sturdier are reinforced glass and solar panels? Worth making?

Bleeding wounds made you quit?

Christ, be glad you never made it to psi enemies.

Bleeding out is nothing.

God that mod is soul crushing.

Or is it collapsible? I tried escaping once recently, made the mistake of standing outside the initial blast radius. Got zoned out by rubble falls, smoke, & fire; wound up in a far corner with the smoke sweeping in & an inferno engulfing the remnants of the building. At that point I booted up the normal game again and pretended it didn't happen.

Is the tutorial basement supposed to be blocked off? I really want to survive the explosion of the tutorial bunker.
