Fire emission question

Im trying to add fire powers to dwarfs (similar to dragon fire) but im scared that another dwarf might get caught in the fire. So i got an idea. I could make the fire not spread out (when a dragon breaths fire it spreads in fount of it). Is it possible?

It's possible, to an extent. You can make it so that instead of dragonfire, it shoots a flame jet, or a fireball.

i was thinking the same thing but the size of the flamejet is small. Is there any way to increase the size?

I THINK if you make a custom material that is gaseous at room temp, ignite point below room temp, no heatdam point, it SHOULD ignite on contact with air. But I'm a doofus and don't know stuff.
