I've always been a Dwarf guy even before I found DF, so I know all about the Lawful stereotype they've got.  And I play around with it by invariably making a Chaotic Good Dwarf Rogue in every game of D&D I play.  Unless I make a Lawful Evil Drow Rogue.  Poisoned hand-crossbows are fun.

But yeah.  Dwarf Fortress Dorfs are TECHNICALLY Lawful, because all the Dorfs are obliged to follow their programming.  Said programming, however, is firmly on the side of Chaotic FUBAR

Not everyone gets to have a dwarf exactly the same as them. The only thing I share with my dwarf is a liking for iron and microcline.

WWWEEEEEOEOOO. CHAOS. Haha, nah. I tend to too often lean to the paladin sort of character, because I always have tendencies to want to play characters that are how I perceive myself or wish I was. So I'll either be some kind of chaotic neutral /chaotic good or else a paladin-esque character. Of course, there's all kinds of dangers with the latter kind of character: Being seen as the Knight in Sour Robe, being a Knight Templar, stopping every five minutes to help any wounded sentient, and other things most players get super annoyed at. Of course, then I can always go and pull a Kore so that everyone cowers in terror and has shocked looks and such. But that's usually only if I feel the DM isn't handling the others and decide to take the "Rocks fall, everybody dies" into my own hand. It's usually the end of the game and the point where I start getting rule-lawyered or just plain kicked out. ( Says the guy who's played exactly 3 D&D games, all with no rulebooks, no dice, and only a single piece of paper. XD )

Ive said it once, and ill say it again. I love this fort!!!

plus goanna check the death-gate/murder-machines trope page today, or tomorrow! goanna see what kind of of chaos and embodiment of untold horrors we are now days!

also peregarret....please don't turn murder-machines into a damn brothel again!! we all know you tried each of the last few times we reclaimed the fort and no one wants your unnatural (even for us!) desires for the female flesh-lings...why bother with such pitiful pleasure when devouring their life essence and the screams their souls make when your steadily drive them mad with untold tortures before eating them like a savored food-stuff?

And if you do happen to break the laws of Anima....

well, im sure your flesh-bag could use a good beating or two....or maybe 30 strikes from a hammer made of slade? will have to talk anima into sharing for a moment, that's going to be even more of a chore then getting the fort against captain, my most hated and respected foe! Not to mention how much damn power I spent set me back by another overseer's time!

good luck with the fort, and ill say im moderately pleased with the progress, though my fleshbag seems to be...interesting, perhaps ill experiment and allow its base personality to stay while I control its stings? such amusement to be had.


finally let us all know when I beat someone to half-dead/death and what their crime is, a legendary chair/throne says its from a failed work-order from the nobles!

What the fuck. Is some random undorfed recruit now our new Darkwing? Hell, even Darkwing just managed to kill two clowns before he went down. It's beyond me that a frigging recruit in the Official Voidspawn Feeding Detachment managed a triple kill on Forgotten Armokhumping Beasts.

Anyways, the Mad Fool actually spent most of my turn incapacitated. So that might also be a factor if the son is young.
