This is one of those odd books that give you little impression on how games should be run.

It always unnerves me when I see that.

Indeed. The disturbing number of "Kills players without a chance of retaliation" things in the back, is likewise disconcerting.

It is times like this that I have to congradulate Call of Cthulhu in that it did in fact give more then test game so you can see how it works AND their website included more.

Admittingly one of them is so stupid I am surprised they were able to post it without any sense of embarassment... but whatever.
-for those wondering... I am refering to the Cthonian creature who is in the form of an ordinary dog that you cannot get rid of. You actually roll to see how it will harass you and it usually tends to be it drooling on you, headbutting you it the nuts, or howling CAUSING YOU TO GO INSANE because it startled you.
