Woah. When did we get clones? We should go back into all the previous rooms and team up with them.

Perhaps it's a clue as to we have to return to a certain computer?

Awesome map, ffs.

West then bust a hole in the southern wall

Bartering ram FTW! +1

Assuming that fails, it looks like the only way to progress involves combat in various areas, I think it's about time we hit that checkpoint and see where we can go. In no particular order, we need to get to an SP fountain to heal up at, check on Slog/get his essence for the Essence and Binding quest, poke around for Oric's memory cartridges on D:2 (and D:1 if we can figure out how to get back up there) and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.

-1 triggering Soul Trap before leaving (i.e don't grab the shiny.)

Also, change my Spirit Class to Diligent Recordkeeper if you would be so kind.

See if we can get the loot, then have the laser sentry blast the summoned sentry.

Perhaps now would be a good time to see what Cain wants?
Also I'd like to change my spirit class to Possessed Shopkeeper if that alright.

-1 to activating the trap.
You know me, I'm all for not dying horribly. But I think that if we're going to be fleeing anyways, no reason not to eh?

Also, -1 to fleeing just yet.
Perhaps now would be a good time to see what Cain wants?

I can't help but notice that the three unexplored rooms in the southeast have no obvious means of ingress.  Perhaps another swimpoint?  Or a hidden door?

As far as current plans, we really need to go forward.  There's only two ways at this point- past this laser eye or back around through the Dragon.  We really lack the range needed to take out that Sentry safely, but that Dragon of course looks very tough.

It's pretty much down to three choices, as I see it:

1.  Try to get through this room
2.  Try to get through the Dragon room
3.  Use the Checkpoint and take care of all that other business, heal up, and come back to do one of the above two.

For completion, 4. Take the Drop (but this option sucks.)

Hmm.  Think we can hide behind the pillar and take pot shots at the Sentry?  The Hero Tower worked for the first one.  An alternate plan- Ripriver has that passive ability to change his range, plus he floats.  He could try to get behind hit when we're pot shotting and get some free hits in.  Plus, he's expendable.

Hell, let's formalize that.

Everyone hide behind the pillar (don't activate it.)  Ciro takes pot shots at the sentry until it is doomed.  Ripriver attacks from Long range to trigger his passive and get into Melee.

And for the record, taking the Drop isn't such a bad idea. (Although I can see why people would want to backtrack and Bloodshape wings or something first.)

Yes it is.

It almost certainly screws us out of Cain and can very well screw us out of Riltia.

Well, isn't that the case with pretty much any transportation method?

Besides, do you really think that's the only way to go between the two levels?
