I kind of want to temporarily put Slog in the inactive slot just to see what kind of boosts he gives the party.

You think that, but that was the first time we really saw Slog in action. It was the first character we saw from him, and you guys go back to that. His character is that orphan blob who just wanted a meal and can turn into one of the best of people if treated right.
