Drop it upright and hope gravity is lazy?  The big wisp is already mid-jump, and upright items fall over much more slowly than free-falling objects fall downward.

And if the spear rolls off the edge of the platform afterwards? Veto  I doubt it would even work in the first place

Just do a plain attack with the spear. The damage will hopefully be enough

Jump to the goombess platform. Next turn we can bloodshape Spelunky spikes and kill BW.
