On a more serious note, as far as I know, spoilers don't actually prevent images from loading. And it's not that big an image physically.

They do (I've had pages load, then opened a picture in a spoiler and it hadn't loaded), and it is.

The forum loads pages first, then imagery. It's perfectly possible that the page has loaded, but the image hasn't.
