((I think the reason there's only one player is it looked at the start like it was going to be illustrated.

Now there's just a bunch of super-short results that are kind of hard to follow without any kind of visual/spatial reference. The only way to know what's going on or what's around the character and in what state is to attempt to cobble together the past three dozen or so updates into an image in my head. It's a cool idea, but perhaps an alienating format.

The reason why I, for one, quite, was because the narrative was pretty slow and boring. I know there was supposed to be an air of mystery, but really it all just felt arbitrary and rail-roaded.

Yeah, it was (initially) supposed to be a you-get-the-backstory-as-you-go-along-the-long-path type of game. With a pretty intricate plot.
