Could not hurt to try our luck with the lure.

Say that you could try finding it, eventually.

Solifuge has the best art.

Before looking for the lure, check out Market district. Shopekeepers and caravaneers surely know the most about locals, foreigners, currency and other information useful for any traveler.

I agree, spending a few minutes looking for a lure is the least we can do for the guy.

Hunt for the lure, then yeah, go talk to the shopkeepers. Avoid the bar but if we see the bartender, apologize.

You don't know how long it's going to take to get into town, with all these hills, so you decide to tell the fisher that you'll look for his lost lure while you're here. He gives you a short description; it's got a bent metal disk with a fancy D shape pressed into it. He adds that it used to catch the light really well, but it may have tarnished after being under water for a long time.

You don't particularly want your gear to get wet, so you leave your robe, armor, and pack up on the pier. If you want anything from your inventory, you can always head back up and grab it, but Brune can watch it for now. That settled, you take a few deep breaths, and hop into the bay.

INVENTORY:

> PERCEPTION CHECK: 26 (18+8)

The water is clear and cool. You take a thorough look around the shoreline, but you don't see anything aside from small rocks and aquatic plants. A weak but steady current keeps driving you back toward shore. If you want to get further out into the bay, you'll have to fight the current.

What next?

Fight the current, but remember to surface for air occasionally.

We can easily fight that current.

Unrelated sidenote, how did you learn to pixel so well? It's an art form that I envy greatly.

Fight the current, but remember to surface for air occasionally.

> SWIM CHECK: 24 (19+5)

You've handled rougher seas than this one before. With a few strong kicks, you dive under the current's pull and out into the bay, surfacing often enough to keep from running out of breath.

You head deeper, and eventually reach an area with several large rocky formations, and what appears to be a small crevasse covered in sea grass.

> PERCEPTION CHECK: 15 (9+8-2)

You keep your eyes peeled for signs of the lure, but the saltwater is beginning to sting your eyes a little, making it hard to make out fine details. You see a few colorful fish, but nothing else stands out. You'll have to search things up close up before you can make out the details.

Where do you want to search first?
