Oh right, we're not supposed to do that.

Indeed, you aren't. You should gently massage their intellects and put warm thoughts of Leftism in their brains. Enlightenment as opposed to extermination.

Right after electroconvulsion therapy and sensory deprivation. I'll go get the lube.

All three at once. Also, you're forgetting the Reagan mask.

You just like makin' up political labels, don't you?

I don't blame you, it's quite fun.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

FJ, how would you define nixonism? Google didn't tell me anything... I really like that pseudo-reactionary bit, by the way.

Also, my label: Faux-authoritarian social-liberal centrist. This works so much better in German~

Nixon was essentially the pragmatic Republican personified.

...They recently had a press conference and all of them looked like autistic children on the verge of a nervous breakdown...
...The preferred solution would be california sliding into the ocean, which in retrospect would probably be more likely than anything pro-freedom happening in california...
...Also, mainiac - you're being... kind of a dick right now?
Unlike Steeled, who is being so kind, thoughtful, and polite.  I particularly liked the part about wishing death upon everyone who lives in California, including me and also a lot of Republicans, apparently on the grounds that equal rights are anti-freedom.

I think that normally is supposed to involve cali physically drifting off into the ocean, not off underneath the waves. Becoming an island, basically. It's a silly thing to hope for either way considering something like that would pretty much destroy the US economy, but cutting off the nose to spite the face is a fairly normal thing in political daydreams.

Holy hell. I was idly looking in to what the economic impact of losing cali would be, when I came across this page and... what in the blue hell are we doing down here in florida? We're somehow spending somewhere over four times the amount of federal taxes we're paying and spending the most taxes of any state, by nearly double the next highest (Texas).

Also a moment of appreciation for Illinois, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, California, Massachusetts, Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Delaware, Nebraska, Connecticut, Colorado, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Utah, Rhode Island, Missouri, and freaking Wyoming, the twenty states that were a net gain for the United State federal budget in 2012. Everyone else: You sucked in 2012. You were outperformed by goddamn Wyoming. Hang your head in shame.

I have now learned that it's probably Florida that needs to sink into the depths. Doing so a couple of years ago would have apparently reduced the federal (E:State related) spending deficit by something close to 90%, which is completely ridiculous.

Well, you could just kill off all the elderly, it would save the rest of Florida.
