Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

If we could only make custom classes. A wyvern-riding archer sounds pretty cool. :P

Could be abused pretty easily as well.

Get a longbow, and go somewhere where nobody can hit you, but you can hit them.
Then they back off and let you rot up there while blocking your escape.  If you have to kill them, you'll come out eventually, and if they have to kill you, well, you have to eat at some point.

Mounted units can move, take an action (like attack), and use the rest of their movement to get to safety. Hanging back would only work if they stayed a good distance away.

I'm not sure why that's a thing. In the games, mounted units could only move after an action if the action was non-combat.

You sure? In the most recent game I played (Path of Radiance) mounted units could move after fighting. It was pretty much mandatory for Astrid, a bow knight who joins the party at level 1.

Well, I haven't played path of radiance in a while, my disc is scratched. That may have been changed, I dunno.

Adrien's not coming with us, and I promise not to kill people just for throwing stones at us.

Valor gritted his teeth and said nothing as they soared into the air, choosing to scream internally instead.
Laughing so much right now :P

"Excellent. Truly magnificent work out there, Christopher. So let me get this straight: first, you KILLED my cousin, Eor, along with at least twenty of the town in your efforts to retrieve the Lapis Lazuli. You then tore his corpse to shreds and pushed it downstream in a nearby river."

"Technically, Adrien was the one who killed Eor-"

"And, after the militia had been slaughtered, you gathered some pitch and burnt his manor down."

"Actually, I don't know who started it-"

"Then, after leaving the city without even a trace of the dragonstone, you killed our most valuable messenger, Roy, dooming hundreds of plague-sufferers around Vilino in the process."

"Again, that was actually Adrien-"

"Christopher."

"Yes'm."

"Did you do anything RIGHT?"
