Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

What, does he just roll for crits every time, as long as we hit?

I don't know, he probably either does 1 of 2 things:

1: Rolls hit, if it's a miss, don't roll crit.

2: Rolls hit, if it's a miss, still rolls the crit.

Firstly, I roll for hit. If the attack hits, then I roll to see if it is a crit.
When you auto-hit, I skip to crit roll. I only show the crit roll when you do score a crit.

Example:
Your final Hit is 84, and final Crit chance is 15.
If you roll 99, you miss.
If you roll 48, you hit, and then I roll again: If you roll 66, you don't crit. If you roll a 8, you crit.

It's like they don't even give you any sort of advantage at all, right!?

Absolutely useless, burn down all the inns, Adrien-style.

Buh-Buh-Buh, the healths. Why would someone burn down a poor inn?

I don't suppose there's any way to teleport Morko near the Inn so we could fight him more effectively, is there? :P

Quick question: Do we want the Goddess Icon that Elite lancer is carrying? Daniel would have to steal it, and Gregor would have to kill the Myrmidon in his way first. Of course, Daniel might get taken down by the enemy on their turn, and it would give Morko one more round to wreak havoc, but it is a nice stat-booster.

As long as nobody's in danger of their counter going to 0, we definitely want it. The southern crew can brute-force Morko down if they have to (and it's looking like they do), so I'm guessing you're free to steal the icon and stabilize/reset Alexander should the opportunity arise.

Alexander has 2 more turns on his countdown. And if Daniel moves up to steal the icon and doesn't get knocked down, he'll block off enemy reinforcements so that all we have to worry about are Morko and the archer.

Thievery ho~

This party needs all the luck it can get!
Now I just need to think of a plausible reason for Gregor to attack the mostly-harmless Myrmidon instead of the highly dangerous Shaman :P

If we're going for the Goddess Icon, I'm thinking Tantie and I should go after the archer.  We can take it out in one turn without retaliation, neither of which is true if we go against Morko (and I'm fighting both a triangle disadvantage and my own personal fault if I challenge him directly).  Gregor moving north to take out the Myrmie won't work in one hit, even with Daniel's help, but doing that should make its retaliation strike suicidal and block the others from continuing south.  If Gregor moves, though, Morpork will be able to move through Alexander unless Ami moves up and heals him this turn, which will put her in range for his attack.

Then again, if he attacks Ami, Alex is free to slap him in the face with a pike.  If he attacks Alexander, Ami can either heal Alex again or move so you can get back into javelin range.  If he attacks someone else among us three from the south, both are free to move.  Those are my thoughts, at least.

Now I just need to think of a plausible reason for Gregor to attack the mostly-harmless Myrmidon instead of the highly dangerous Shaman :P
Go after the Myrmidon before they get around you, and get out of Ami's way so she can heal Alexander.  Either she or Daniel could point that out. :P
