So on a round with me as a Traitor HoP I messed with station engineers ID access.

It turns out removing Telecoms and Atmospherics (Only those 2) will prevent them from opening the main engineering doors, according to the guy (Hector Pedrids, however it is spelled) I talked to. I suspect that the doors to engineering might not have correct access set, but have not tried myself.

See, that's why I /take/ command roles. It's one fewer for the terrible people to fill, and it makes it easier for you to deal with them. If he were Sec under me as HoS, first time he started to meta I would have stripped his gear and had him demoted. If I were RD that round, I would have bombed him just on principle, even if I hadn't been a traitor.

Well, fuck. Server's down, and now I've got too much of a headache to write or study, I'm too pissed to play LoL or PS2, and I'm too broke to drink the stupid away.

Doors have a combination of access and you have to have that combination. Miss one and you can't get in.

I'm going to be honest here. The next time I see someone like that playing a command/sec role, I'm going to drop whatever I'm doing IC to murder the fuck out of them and destroy the corpse, just on principle. Hell, each of my characters' individual mental hangups justify it. I don't even care if I get temped because of it; I'd rather not play at all than play with people like that.

But seriously, I said it several times in OOC, and it bears repeating. We need more explicit stuff in the rules header so that the instant people start to blatantly meta they can be slapped with a warning, and then a job/temp ban if they keep doing it. Half the reason I play exclusively on UMcS is for the RP, the other half is because (and I'm seriously not trying to sound cliquish here--don't get me wrong, a lot of the randoms have been great, or at least not terrible) everyone that's a regular is at the very least a decent person who follows server rules, more or less.

then you better destroy all the pAIs so they cant go do that.
And make positive its not a cult, and hope to fucking GOD we don't get some event where they get to go play again.

Door accesses seem a bit off too. For instance, regular MDs can apparently go be geneticists or chemists if they feel like it while (according to someone who I froget the name of) CMOs cant get into virology.

And posters are off Glloyd. Ones under the sign, another is on a table.

Realy, the only ways of dealing with those sorts of people are 1) mor admins or 2) no new players.

I feel bad that I wasn't more help earlier in the round. I didn't realize the pop had gotten that high and that there were issues, because I was playing with slimes and therefore very distracted. I'll try to help the Admins catch issues quicker from here on. Hopefully, if we can stop RP confusion early, then only the real trolls and griefers will give us headaches. Well, them and the differences of opinion about Asimov laws. And Security. And how much killing an antag can do. and ... Ozarcks painful inability to hit the right chat channel ... and the debate over kitties vs. pugs. And 4noraisins ...
