True.

In other news, the server may have died.

Also, the mech bay computer may be picking up mechs that are not on the station, in addittion to being really, really silly when it comes to mechs in general, as it still seems to list two listings for each mech.
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Baystation puts some mechs at Central for ERT use: two firefighters, an Odysseus, and a Dark Gygax. They seem to have beacons on them and the computer pulls signals from anywhere in the galaxy. Not sure about the duplicate listings issue, though.
Only the oddy and the firefighters get grabbed, probally something in their code that noone has looked at that causes them all to show up on the console.

The Story of Layla Potter
« Reply #17567 on: June 27, 2014, 09:04:46 am »

(This is a sad, true story)

Layla Potter was born as Thomas Mann, and grew up to be a roboticist on the Station. He was happy, and wanted nothing more than to build mechs and remove people's brains. But that wasn't to be. The Genetics department was making superpowers, and announced super speed! Thomas Mann wanted it badly, and walked to the genetics lab to get injected. He felt a shiver in his legs and started coughing horribly. It wasn't working! But before he could tell anyone else, the Geneticist injected it to most of the station's residents. After finding it wasn't working, The station yelled at him to make it stop. Thomas Mann got back to work, but a short time later, the Geneticist told everyone that he had a blank slate. Thomas walked to Genetics and waited in line. The Geneticist injected everyone in front of Thomas, but when he injected Thomas, then read the label, he yelled "NO!" and dropped the syringe. You see, The Geneticist had injected Thomas Mann with a syringe that contained the fake DNA of a human female by the name of Layla Potter. As Thomas became Layla, another problem presented itself. He was invisible. She tried to return to work, but the invisibility made it impossible to be safe in the workplace. So, she had a brilliant idea. She took off all of her possesions, and stuffed them into the locker, only wearing men's underwear and shirt. She shaved her head bald, and took off for the bar. There, the Geneticist was resting with the CMO, and Layla pushed the two around. She then sprinted off without a word, spooking the station and confusing everyone. She then went to the geneticist's office and burned all of his papers, and spaced all of his syringes. But, she couldn't take it anymore. Noone saw her, Noone talked to her, she was alone. She then walked to where the Geneticist was, and she snapped her neck right in front of him, leaving him with the guilt of this issue. But even in death, Layla was alone.

(This is the narrative of my POV of last night's round. Slight dramatization. Also is a 'mostly' true story)

Anyways, IIRC, the invisibility power only works in low lighting. I presume the lights were slowly shutting off because nobody ever plays engineer?

Browsing through BS12's dev branch.

They made cats pick-uppable! Also, laptops are in and vendable and moddable and crap like that. And walls get damaged by fire.

Yes, but if you ignore a cat long enough will it rub up against your leg?

Modelling cat logic in general is a lifelong project.

Moddable as in preprogrammed little apps you can get with a vending machine or command line coding and such?

Actually no, components. The thing I remember is installing battery backup.

you have two settings

increase yield, minor mutation

increasing yield does well i don't know you tell me

minor mutation causes... a minor mutation (like using 1 unit unstable mutagen if you know something about that)

it's basically easymode botanics
