Quick Question re: Death, 'Missing', and ghosts
« on: February 25, 2013, 10:27:07 am »

So a... disaster of unspecified nature befell my fort a little while ago.

It resulted in, amongst other things, a large number of dead dwarves whose bodies are... well, less than extant.

Many of these dwarves were killed with no living witnesses, and so they are registered as 'missing'.

Now, occasionally one will come back as a ghost and force me to memorialize them, but outside of this,

Is there any way to get a 'missing' dwarf to be changed over to 'dead' on the (u)nits screen, other than having a ghost show up, if there is no body?

If you have any body part at all you can bury that. And if they do appear the wiki says they can be frozen, which would be pretty badass in itself.

Frozen ghosts? Sounds like one hell of a cocktail.
