that's in the future though, this battle is Russia's in my book, maybe not the campaign but certainly the battle.
...Dude, Napoleon lost when he invaded Russia! And Russia wasn't backed by Asia!

The army not Russia
Ah. Yeah, it's possible the army is in trouble.

Napoleon always does throw a wrench in the best layed plans doesn't he?
Even his own.

Napoleon lost because the Russians ran away, they let there own capital burn rather then fight him and let the fact that he didn't know how harsh the Russian winter was beat him.

Hardly a special victory and even then the Russians on there own ground with at least a 5-1 numerical advantage could not finish him, he lost the campaign but it was hardly a Russian victory.

And in this event it's taking place in France, not Russia.

Napoleon was the single best commander of the era until they day he fought Sir Arthur Wellsley.
That day he was fought to a standstill and in the end he lost.
The two of them were undoubtedly the best commanders of the era.

You doubt the courage and skill of the Russians?

None of these men fighting, save the Austrians, are conscripts. We see the Austrians have lost and now cower. Does this make use scared in turn? No! It means that we are emboldened by their cowardice, proving ourselves to be better than they! We are Russians! We come from the same land that gave birth to the feared Cossacks! Not even this Napoleon can defeat us!

On another note, Cossacks were badass. They were like russian samurai. Except more unruly. And bigger.

Yea I know :).

I know they are good soldiers I just don't think they'll win this time.
But we'll see, the odds are close enough thats I won't be really shocked if Russia does win but I'm hoping they don't.

I need France alive for me to kill.

The Cossacks were nothing like Samurai, they were too busy drinking, being manly, and bending horseshoes with their bare hands.

Don't worry, if they light up Russia can come running to save you and I'll deal with France.

Go after the Italians or something. Go pick a fight with the Americas. Just...the big countries are fighting now. We need space.

Also this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Empire#First_half_of_the_nineteenth_century

BITCH

Finally.

I just realized how low Russia's population was back then. Japan had about 25 million people. Russia had about 35 million.

I need my people to make more babies.

Lol yea your population is not even much bigger then mine lol.

I have somewhere around 20-25 million at present and that will shortly be taking some nice leaps up.
Within 3-4 years I'll probably have about an equal population to you.

Yeah. Or not. Considering I'm elevating the lower classes, increasing food production and such? And I have far more room to spread into? Plus the part where China should start emigrating. I have population problems, they have population problems, together we have no population problems!

Right?

I thought this was going to be a fun game about grand calculated warfare and international intrigue that would shape history. Instead, it has devolved into a circlejerk of pop history and pseudo-strategy that can not be applied realistically and practically to the art of Roleplay.

I resign my control of Ethiopia.

As a constructive criticism to the GM Mister alamoes, I have no idea in the holy name of fuck how you hope to handle a game that entails this much depth, one that I have only been seen accomplished by a cooperation of multiple veteran GMs. On the other hand, I applaud alamoes on taking on a project of this magnitude which requires a whole lot of ambition and audacity that I personally do not have.

Good Luck,
